Palladium Labs

Terms of Use

Effective 13 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-13

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Palladium Labs (“Palladium Labs”, “we”, “us”), which operates Palladium Terminal: the website, dashboards, models, API, embeddable charts, notifications and related services (together, the “Platform”).

By creating an account, signing in, calling the API with a key, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that organisation.

Acknowledgement is required. Every account holder, including existing users, must read and acknowledge these Terms, and any later version of them, at their next sign-in. An account whose holder declines to acknowledge them is disabled, and its API keys stop working. A disabled account can be restored by contacting us and accepting the Terms in force.

2. Definitions

  • Account: your registered access to the Platform.
  • Platform Materials: everything we create or present on the Platform other than the underlying source data, including charts, graphics, visualisations, maps, surfaces, dashboards, layouts, animations and videos, calculation models and their methods, parameters and outputs (including fitted curves, risk measures, forecasts and transformed or derived series), indicators, text, software, the API and its documentation, and our names, logos and design.
  • Source Data: data published by third parties, mainly the Bank of Zambia, that the Platform collects and presents.
  • User Content: what you submit, such as chart notes, feedback and testimonials.
  • Activity Data: records of how you use the Platform, described in section 9.

3. Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to enter a binding agreement.
  • Give accurate information (including your name, email, country and city when asked) and keep it up to date. One account is for one person; do not share it or let others use it.
  • Keep your sign-in credentials and API keys secure and confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and keys. Tell us at once at legal@palladiumlabs.online if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • The Platform is in beta. We may limit the number of accounts, keep a waiting list, and change, suspend or withdraw features at any time.

4. The Platform and its information

The Platform presents Source Data and our own analysis of it. Palladium Labs is independent: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the Bank of Zambia or any other data publisher, and Source Data remains subject to its publisher’s terms.

Not advice. Nothing on the Platform is financial, investment, legal, tax or other professional advice, or an offer or recommendation to buy or sell anything. Models are estimates built on assumptions and may be wrong. Source Data can be revised, delayed or incomplete. Check important information against the original source and take independent advice before acting on it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Platform lawfully and only as these Terms allow. In particular, you must not:

  • break any law or regulation, or infringe anyone’s rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
  • access the Platform by automated means other than the API with your own key, or scrape, crawl, bulk-download or mirror it, or exceed or try to get around rate limits, quotas or access controls;
  • share, publish, sell or transfer API keys or account access, or use another person’s account or key;
  • probe, scan or test the Platform’s security, interfere with or disrupt it, introduce malicious code, or try to reach data that is not yours;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or copy the Platform’s software, models or methods, except where the law expressly allows it;
  • use Platform Materials outside the licence in section 7, including republishing, reselling or commercially exploiting them, or using them to build a competing product or to train machine-learning models, without our written permission;
  • remove or alter attribution, notices or watermarks, or misrepresent the source of Platform Materials or Source Data;
  • create accounts by automated means or under false identities, or to get around a suspension or a waiting list;
  • submit User Content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or infringes others’ rights.

6. API keys

  • API keys are personal to your Account and free during the beta. We may set or change limits on their number and use.
  • We record each key’s queries (section 9) to operate the API, prevent abuse and enforce these Terms.
  • We may revoke any key at any time, without notice, including when your Account is suspended or disabled, or when a key is used in breach of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property and permission to use

Ownership. All Platform Materials, including every graphic, chart, visualisation, calculation model and animation, are the property of Palladium Labs or its licensors and are protected by copyright, database, trade mark and other laws. These Terms do not transfer any of them to you. Rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Permission. Any use of Platform Materials is subject to Palladium Labs’s permission. Until we say otherwise, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to view and use Platform Materials for your own internal research and analysis, and to download, cite or embed them using the Platform’s own download and embed features, with the attribution “Source: Palladium Terminal (Palladium Labs); data: Bank of Zambia”. Any other use, including publication, redistribution, commercial use or use in another product, needs our prior written permission.

Withdrawal. Palladium Labs may withdraw or limit any permission, whether given here or separately, at any time and without notice. When a permission is withdrawn, you must stop the use it covered and, if we ask, remove and delete the Platform Materials concerned, including embeds, images, videos and model outputs.

Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or payment.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant Palladium Labs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy and display it as needed to run the Platform, and, for testimonials you choose to submit and we feature, to publish them with your name and organisation. You may withdraw a testimonial at any time, and we then stop showing it. You are responsible for your User Content, and we may remove any of it that breaches these Terms.

9. Your data and activity monitoring

Consent to hosting and tracking. You agree that Palladium Labs may collect, host and process the following data about you and your use of the Platform, for the purposes below:

  • Account data: name, email address, sign-in method, profile picture, country and city, role, and when you joined, signed in and were last active.
  • Activity Data: the pages you view, the charts, images and videos you download, the API queries you make (in the playground and with your keys), sign-ins, and, for usage statistics, your approximate country and anonymous visit counts.
  • Content and settings: chart notes, feedback, testimonials, API key details (never the full key), notification preferences and the browsers you enable notifications on, and your acceptance of these Terms.

Purposes: to provide and secure the Platform; to detect and investigate misuse and enforce these Terms; to understand and improve how the Platform is used; and to send you service messages and, as you choose in your settings, announcements, updates and reminders. Authorised Palladium Labs administrators can see your account and Activity Data for these purposes.

Retention: we keep daily activity counts for 90 days and your latest 200 recorded events. Account data is kept while your Account exists and deleted within a reasonable time after it is closed, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce these Terms.

Service providers and transfers: we use service providers to host and run the Platform, including Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, sign-in and storage) and Resend (email). They process data for us under contract and may do so outside your country, with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal data.

Your rights: subject to applicable law, including the Data Protection Act, 2021 of Zambia and, where they apply, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations, you may ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, and object to or restrict its processing, by writing to legal@palladiumlabs.online. You may also complain to your data protection authority. You can turn off email and browser notifications at any time in your account settings.

Security: we protect data with access controls, encryption in transit and at rest provided by our hosting providers, and signed credentials. No system is completely secure, and we will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach where the law requires it.

10. Communications

We may send you service and legal notices (for example about your Account, security or changes to these Terms) by email or on the Platform; these cannot be turned off while you have an Account. Announcements, platform updates, new-data alerts and reminders follow your notification settings, and every email has a link to stop them.

11. Suspension and termination

Mandatory suspension. Palladium Labs will suspend any Account that shows activity outside these Terms, including breaches of section 5, misuse of API keys or Platform Materials, security threats, or false account information. Suspension disables sign-in and revokes the Account’s API keys. We may act without prior notice where we consider it necessary to protect the Platform, its users or others, or to comply with the law.

Where practicable, we will tell you the reason. You may ask us to review a suspension by writing to legal@palladiumlabs.online within 30 days. We may restore the Account, keep it suspended, or close it.

You may stop using the Platform and ask us to close your Account at any time. On suspension or closure, your permissions under section 7 end, and sections 4, 7, 9 (as to data we must keep), 12, 13, 14 and 16 continue to apply.

12. Disclaimers

The Platform, its information and Platform Materials are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, Palladium Labs gives no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Palladium Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising from or related to the Platform, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Palladium Labs against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform or Platform Materials, or your User Content.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version and effective date are shown at the top. When we make a change, we will ask you to read and acknowledge the new version at your next sign-in, and may also tell you by email. You cannot continue using the Platform without acknowledging the version in force; if you decline, your Account is disabled as section 1 describes.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. We will first try to resolve any dispute informally; if that fails within 60 days, the courts of Zambia have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer or data protection rights you have where you live.

17. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Palladium Labs about the Platform. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor operating the Platform. We are not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
